full roll hook

Guys,

I have been working on grooving the full roll into my swing and am having problems. I have a tendency to not roll the club at all through impact and this causes shots to the right on occasion. Today when I tried to implement the full roll I had a tendency to hit low hooks. I would love advice from Brian and whoever on the cause of these hooks and how to achieve full roll while still hitting a fade (a la Trevino). Thanks,

Kermit

Make sure you are using the Manzella Neutral grip (read article). Make sure your left hand matches the clubface when PERFECTLY FLAT, make sure you have lots of axis tilt.

That's it :)

First and lastly. You aren't going to not hook it overnight and when first trying this, so don't expect to and don't get frustrated if you keep hooking. I know I can fade it with full roll when getting my left shoulder further away from the ball at impact.

What's your grip like? Debatable that Lee Buck was a full roll fader . . ,

Axis Tilt...plus forward lean...plus open face at impact...THEN full roll

So should I try to feel the roll after impact? Does this full roll help keep you on plane on the follow thru?

Work on keeping your hands farther away from your head during the entire motion. Use your right arm to straighten your left and keep this feeling during the downswing. You will find much better Rhythm results and the 'roll' will be smoooooooother.
