As a hooker of the ball when it all goes bad, I have been looking for cures for a while. I have been experimenting with keeping the natural cup of the left wrist at adress all the way to the top. My natural movement away from the ball is a twistaway on steroids.
Anyway, my tac tic at adress clicks, denoting a cup, and a curious thing i noticed is I can't stop it from going flat in my takeaway no matter how hard i try. I found if I delay the twist, or have my left thumb under the club at the top per Brian, I can absolutely rip it with no fear of the lefts. For those fighting hooks, get a tac-tic and try as hard as you can not to get flat and you will.
Paradoxes abound in this game.
