I just wanted to thank Brian and all the members here. I just completed my first talk for a PGA section on the topic of D-plane, true path and ball flight.

Couldn't have done as well without everyone's help.

Thank You Brian

You're gonna look like a heretic telling the PGA guys the ball starts predominately off the clubface, not the path! Stay strong grasshopper!

Here's the real scary part...This is an exchange between me and the head of the education department at PGA-UK

Hello,
We have been discussing ball flight laws and have a little disagreement with how the PGA of America describes and teaches them. Could you provide as much insight and information as possible as to how you teach and define the ball flight laws.

Thank you for all your help! All the best this golfing season.

Thank you for your email.

The British PGA works closely with the PGA of America in a number of areas, and they have access to all our materials where necessary.

I would be uncomfortable in providing you with information that you may eventually use against your own PGA. I would suggest that you ask the appropriate PGA of America representative to contact us (and the Australians) if you feel that they are out of step with their current information in this area.

I’m sorry I cannot be of more help, but hope you understand my approach.

Warm regards

I've always been a bit of a feather ruffler so I told my audience about this exchange. Found out later that the PGA_UK has been teaching correct ball flight for over 5 years.

Scary bad for the US-PGA

D-plane---quoted it right from book

true path--direction of strike talking about lowpoints and impacts etc.

Ball flight-- I used Dave Tutelman's pic

Congrats ggsjpc. How far did their jaws drop the further you got into the presentation? or was it more of a head scratching reaction?

Good for you ggs.

With all the tech. out there it is a JOKE that almost everyone goes on like The PGAs "Ball Flight Laws" are correct.
