GOING TO FLATTEN SWING SOME

I have always had an upright swing. It needs to get back on plane, I am hoping this will take some of the hand manipulation that I have always had and make things simpler. However getting the club flater and the armswing lower is not easy for me, I am large 6'2 225 . I just won a tournament but the putter saved me. Under pressure I want things to feel simple and I am hoping getting the hands to go back and down on the same plane will help. I am not calling it one plane swing but on plane swiing. Tim

You're tall, an on plane swing might feel upright to you.

The only way to tell if your swing is too upright (for you) is for one of us to see it on video.

If i see anything that is happeneing TOO MUCH in the golf swing these days is golfers wanting to "flatten" their swing. Most want to do it because it looks prettier or because a lot of pros are doing it or some just want to "make a change.

Get some footage of your swing and let me or another manzella instructor take a peep before you go messing up a good thing.

Jim , changing my swing is not a big deal, I am a fiddler, I had a buddy that plays on the Candian tour take a look at what I thought was much flatter and he really liked it, to his eyes it was only slighty flatter to me it feels like the club was horizontal. My hands responded well to the change, I am feeling like I am rotating alot , this is just a feel and probably not what it looks like, I am not a believer in messing up a good thing, we can always improve, TIM

Just found Brian's video of getting the plane deeper, he stresses getting the right shoulder back more, TIM
