Well, I leave Saturday to go to the last stage of PGA learning and get fitted for my blue blood jacket. On the way back, however, I'm stopping by New Orleans to see BMan for a few days. We are spending the first day collecting data on Trackman. That night, I'd like a true local to show me some real cajun food. Then, we will work the next morning ( I guess at City paahk). This will be a huge day for me as i anticipate having a real good season. I want the Trackman numbers to confirm the work ive put in the off season. If the numbers (true path and attack angle) are good for each club, then its all about aim with Brian's help.

Hopefully, I'll have some interesting things to report. I'd like to post up my swing for the masses to comment on. I think alot of the patterns we've all come to love will be apparent in what I'm doing.

Hope to have some interesting things to talk about. I'm sure i will.

Have fun, Kevin! Perhaps you could convince Brian to make a stop in Pittsburgh this golf season---would be fun to have you two run a little teaching clinic. I'm sure we could get enough bodies to make it worthwhile.

Have a great trip! I'm looking forward to seeing your data and your swing....I'm sure we'll learn a lot. Thanks for your valuable contribution to this site!

maybe after you get your jacket you can show fred couples how not to miss a shot ever.

I guess this is supposed to be a shot at me because of my comments on Freddie. i said i love freddie and was just interested in his swing, ability to close and other things. I never said i can help him or was critical. Just wondering about a fascinating guy and his career.

You guys that haven't seen Kevins action will like. Very impressive in person. For my entire lesson one guy just sat behind us and watched Kevin go to work the whole hour..swinging/teaching. Have fun man...I got two words for ya Commander's Palace...UMMMMM good.

Kevin,

By getting your PGA jacket do you mean "graduation" from the PGA academy. If so, well done and the association is going to be much better off having a guy like you in the fold. I find your posts very informative and filled with good info, I can also tell that you have better than average teaching ability and help a lot of your students. Your swing is tidy too :)

Enjoy Florida and your time with BM

Thank you. Yeah, my anti PGA friend calls PGA membership "getting fitted for my blue blazer and white shoes". If you're referring to that swing on youtube from Hilton Head, the one i'm into now would make that look like a 4 handicap. I'm absolutely not the least bit arrogant about my golf game (why would I be, I never made it!) but i'm currently using a pattern that i would give anything to get in a time machine and use at 22. Better late than never, I guess. Thanks again.

Kevin, just curious, what type of pattern are you currently using? Thanks

PS Have fun

I'm using a pattern that has many elements of SD but ive tweaked it and refined it enough with NHA components to keep me from getting under that to the eye it might fudge toward an anti hook swing. LCT, right arm above left with no wedge roll . Maybe a feeling of a slight open face. Lots of carry and showing armpits, level elbows. Shaking sugar all over the place. Tilt and unwind.

You know, standard stuff. Nothing you couldn't find in any old Golf Digest:D

I know what you mean.. When I was trying to play the Aussie tour 8 years ago my swing pattern was horrible - full of mixed components. Just tried to manipulate the ball in the hole.

It would be a funny thread starter, and I think BM might have already done it, if I knew what I know now 10 years ago..... I think you could relate that to a number of different areas of life. :)

Yes, thanks for all the posting you do on here Kevin. Where in Fl are you going? I am going Friday to the Tampa area to visit my parents they have a neighbor who gets me on at Innisbrook.

I don't know if you have posted this before but I will for ya, I think it would be nice for the forum members to see your action....nice swing.

At the time, I was very pleased with some of the results i was getting with that swing. But getting further Manzella-ized required implementation of a TRUE LCT, which gave me ten or fifteen in the air and brought back lowpoint control and my ability to fade the ball. That little forward press and early set makes me want to vomit. We'll post it up asap.

I dont know about Q-school or anything, but I've certainly reshuffled my playing goals. I almost quit for good. Thanks, Bman.

Kevin and Brian, would love to see some video of you guys working on the trackman, with numbers and adjustments being made and such.

We have 4 good players and swingers collecting data for 2 hours. I'm sure it will be an enlightening day. Can't wait to post up the numbers and swing changes.
