Tim Petrovic and instructor Rick Bradshaw were on academy live tonight. Clearly the instructor is TGM influenced...even started getting into some TGM "trances" i call them with his verbage ;)

Also, they showed an old video of Hogan before one of the breaks and it was the BIG HOGAN SWING. His backswing was probably as long as Daly's. First time i've ever seen that swing that brian talked about in one his analyses.

Rick was showing the right arm "push" into impact and explained an "underhand throwing" motion; however he was talking about pitch elbow position which i thought was a no-no for hitting?

You can also see the RFP/STT hybrid takeaway in Tim's swing as well as the pivot reacting to his hands.

Nice heads up Jim on the programming. We catch it on the late night.

I do find it interesting that Homer classified stroke basic by Elbow position.

I find Pitch basic to be the one with the greatest allowance of leeway. With Punch– the side is the side, but with Pitch – how deep you go into the stroke is a personal choice.

6,

And does this "leeway" lead to potential problemas? What do you think are the ramifications of the "pervert's" Pitch Elbow as deemed by our Litte Green Buddy?

A pervert's pervert,

Maybe leeway is the wrong word but the elbow (Homer says the Elbow has to be somewhere :D) can go much deeper into the stroke than with Punch. Some of you maximum trigger release guys love to pick your left pocket with that elbow. My pitch elbow is just to my right leg pleats. For years I thought it was a Punch position because that was what I ‘felt.’ The shorter the club the deeper you can go (ball position helps here too). The stronger and faster you are the deeper you can go with longer clubs - to a point perhaps.

If you like max trigger- go for it. Let the ball answer that question.

Me thinks that if you get your Right Elbow hooked on kiddie porn, the ball answers:

"Sir Yes Sir!!!! I don't know but I've been told . . . Eskimo hmmmm is really cold!!! Sound off . . . Perverted Pitch ain't punkin pie, look for your ball where the elephants die.

Left Left Left Right Left . . ."

Commanding officer says, "Don't SHOOT (hold rest) until you see the elbow pass your navel."

Do like Gomer and DISOBEY THAT DIRECT ORDER!!!

One of the better shows. Tim P. has a very smooth 'motion'. Wonderful 'swinging force' - effortless power.

Nice clips, solid 'drills' ;)
