See this month issue.

Tiger's problem JUST AS I SAID MONTHS AGO ON FGI.

Driver Loft problem JUST AS I SAID MONTHS AGO ON FGI and Manzella Golf Forum;).

Hmm, who wrote the article. Hope it gets replicated in our Australian Golf Digest (I might have to actually buy one! Haven't bought a golf mag since I got into TGM)

There was a thread on the Golf Digest article on the GO website . I put a post saying that GD may have pinched the article from this website. It will be interesting to see if they doctor it. Brian : could you post a copy of your original FGI post? Thanks

Jim Hardy wrote about Tiger's problem...said Tigere was getting his left arm away from his body during takeaway.

BM's post about the driver loft is in another thread on this forum...

Believe it or not....when Tiger was 15, I had dinner with Earl Woods that was a kinda interview for the job (they were looking and we had mutual friends)....too bad, huh?

[oscar voice] It was an honnor just to be nominated [/oscar voice]

Yeah, that's a bummer, but I'd say you're doing better than most eh? Are you working with Perks still? My pops played a round with him shortly before his big win, said he was one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet.

At the time could you see that Tiger was going to have the kind of success that he has had? For his age was he the most talented player you have ever seen?

I wish Brian and GD good luck in changing golfer's mindset regarding loft of drivers. This has been said by a number of people but yet try buying a 11 to 12 degree driver. They are hard to find. And of course there is that thing, well the pro's hit and the long drivers hit.

The Golfer is his own worst emeny.

No...I said 16 degrees for many (they have also)

I worked with Criag Perks while he was in college.

Ben may have said the 3-d comment first, but I hated the move probably when everyone else who knows did too.

Now Martee, you're an FGI regular! You know how many of those guys spank their 7 degree Nemesis's 300 + yards! [}:)] Actually, I use a 12 degree driver. I have always gone on the theory that there is more friction on the ball on the ground than in the air. Not to mention, the added forgivness of more loft.

Yes what is your point? I keep saying higher others sell lower. I am not touching distance golfer claim to hit. The only distance I am worried about is how much I have left to the pin.

Brian my example of 10 to 11 was to point out that these don't exist, for a 16 you need to hit a 3 wood or 4 wood. And with the length of shafts on these club, well again maybe someday someone who has influence on lofts will get the market to change.

I am not holding my breath.

I have 12.5 (called a 2 wood from the 80s when I was playing decent).

But then again I still use steel shafts that are what once was called standard lenghts (again a reference from the past).

Actually,
the 11 and 12 degree loft big-name drivers have been very popular since the middle of 2002 (over a year, now).
And on eBay, they sell at higher prices than lower lofted drivers.
When you talk to players who used to carry 6 degree drivers, they tell you that they used to be young and stupid!
