Anyone have any good ones to recommend or even sell? Anyone have anything with Mike Boyle specifically? Bill Hartman? Any comments welcomed. Thanks

You ever watch the "Golf Fitness" show on the The Golf Channel? It's actually not too bad, depending on the guest, more about stretching from what I have seen though.

tpi.com is a good all round fitness site- they do have some strengthening exercises.

golf chains are one of my favorites though (speed chains) :D

Speed Chain

No specific DVD to recommend though.

So you've had good results with the speed chain? I've heard of it but don't know much about it.

Yes, I have had good results with them - both personally and with patients/clients. I don't have a specific DVD to recommend because the ones I have seen are OK but are very basic, very general.

And now the spiel again- If possible it would be good to have at least one to two sessions with a PT or Chiropractor or Trainer specifically with the golf swing in mind. The goal is not to get you hooked in to seeing someone for 20 visits but would help you focus on what you should be working on. Where are you tight/weak etc. Everyone has something they should be working on. You want to spend your time in the most efficient manner.

The more flexible, strong you are then you will be able to better implement the instructions from this site.

Agreed, a close friend of mine is a personal trainer, I helped him in the construction of his shop/gym, so in return he gave me about 6 months of free personal training. It was awesome, I lost about 35 pounds, and we Focused allot on the golf side of personal training. It was a great help, helped me to be able to become much looser on the course.

No cable here. I would be 15 pounds heavier if I had TGC!

They sell the DVDs of the complete first four seasons of TPI's Golf Fitness Academy...10 episode per disk. Lots of info on strength and flexibility, well presented. Also, they are BIG believers in snapping the Kinetic Chain, and go into some of their data, as well as exercises to help average golfers "snap it" like the tour pros. It involves lots of core stability exercises.
