The Golf Channel show, Golf in America, will be showing a segment on 7/6/10 involving the owner/head professional at my home course here in Pittsburgh , Hickory Heights Golf Club. His name is Sam Depe III and his story is one of triumph over tragedy. About 12-13 years ago Sam had won a local Tri-State PGA event and was involved in a horrific car accident on the way home. Horrific as in he lost both legs, was in a coma for 2 weeks, had multiple cardiac arrests and a ton of blood transfusions---and survived. He is a phenomenal man and I am hoping the Golf Channel does his story justice. He does admit to missing playing skins games with the guys in the evenings, but also delights in telling people he hasn't made a bogey in 12 years! That's the kind of attitude he has---very positive all the time. I was filmed a couple of times so you might even see my fat butt a few times. Dave
