Joe Daniels, G.S.E.D., President; Beth Daniels, Director of Marketing; and Doug DuChateau, GSEM, Director of Member Services, all of THE GOLFING MACHINE, LLC; held a very nice reception for all Authorized Instructors and guests.

Among those who were at the show and attended, were Ben Doyle, Chuck Cook, Martin Hall, Tom Ness, Brian Manzella, Tom Bartlett, Mike Finney, Dave Edel, Mike Jacobs, John Rohan-Weaver, Chris Wertz, Tom Wertz, and many more.

The program began with Chuck Cook and Martin Hall giving very similar, very nice, talks about their feelings about The Golfing Machine, and Ben Doyle. Martin Hall taked about this site as being a great place to learn about The Golfing Machine.

Ben Doyle talked about "two great PEARLS in the book," and answered a few questions.

All in all, a lot of good guys (and gals) good golf talk and good times.
:)

Pearl number 1
6-C-2-E
Nothing else matters if this (loading & sustaining lag pressure) is lost.

Pearl number 2
6-D-0
Unless the player sustains the alignments, conditions, loading etc. of the hands (from assembly to triggering) power golf is impossible. Working on anything else first is wasted time.

And Power is accuracy.

Q&A
Ben, what do you think about these guys who teach only chip and pitch without the full swing at first?
Ben said he teaches chip and pitch and chip-pitch along with the full swing swivel during a lesson. He will always work on chips and pitches until the student can demonstrate but will integrate full swing in as well.

Ben, why do people stand up through impact?
They didn't set their radius correctly.

Ben, how do you want to be remembered? (this made him tear up)
"Shared what I knew"

A friend of mine was playing in a competition last Monday with a former tour player that is now a coach and has trained a player on to tour. He gravitated to TGM after being let down by the Leadbetter influence .We discussed how many snake oil salesman coaches are out there that have positioned themselves in the public eye and the junk that is being fed to the golfing public. I asked him who he considered the best coach out there. He had played golf with Bob Tway and Mac O'Grady. He said Ben Doyle is THE legendary coach . He has never met Ben but came to that conclusion after playing against and talking with Tway and O'Grady . Having seen first hand the ball striking of Bobby Clampett and Mac O'Grady in their prime left him in no doubt .

basically that the golfing machine people have a little too much tension between each other, that TGM instructors need to unite instead of divide.

We work better together than we do apart.

Sad that many in this world have forgotten this simple fact.

The Golfing Machine meeting was a wonderful event. Anyone invited and who did not show up missed out on very special night. I invited a top 50 teacher who got detained at the PGA awards party and he was going to bring a top 10 teacher with him. I ran into the top 10 teacher, whom I have met before, at a Steak House and he wanted to know what he had missed and I told him the next one we have at the show I'll invite the top 50 guy and the top 10 guy. The word is spreading and people need to get on board. Also Brian I enjoyed our own personal conversation. Keep up your great work.

I just hope one of the other yahoos doesn't come along and steal all the thunder from people such as Brian and Lynn.

I don't understand something but I'm new to this so forgive me but if the book was written so long ago how come it's like new to everybody? Did nobody believe this stuff or was it truly golf's secret? I know it feels like a secret by the way I've been hitting the ball. From what I've gathered on this board it's like some of the top pro's teach junk but I mean come on, THIS is the way to do it right?

Rick Smith comes to mind.

Brian (or anyone else) - what is the relationship between Joe and Beth? Is Jenna related to either of them?

TGC has been doing quite a lot of 'Homer' lately. Quite a lot of material coming from the 'boards'.

And yet I see no public credit to Homer, to Lynn, to Brian, to Ben or to anyone else who deserves it.
