Hand path plus mind in your hands

Could someone explain how 1) concentrating on keeping your hands under and in (I guess I mean vertical) on the downswing and 2) keeping your mind in your hands leads to better contact? Trying to worry about the clubhead has lead to terrible contact (mostly on toe, fat, with closed and open face) and wild dispersion. Went out tonight With a 60 and was really happy with the contact, ball flight, and dispersion. Just want to know why this was helping. Does this idea help all the way throughout the bag to the driver as well?

It would be interesting to try and hit balls with your hands numbed up with Novocain. If you could hold on, I'm not sure I'm a firm believer in the senses provided by the hands and how you can aim/use those senses to strike shots.

During transition the clubs mass loads heavily in the hands. Some players play really well with these "feels" while others don't really monitor the sensations. When I'm coaching, I like to make my students aware of the sensations. Especially those that are real flippers. If it helps? Great. If not, that's okay too.

This makes me feel better. I never got all of the feeling pressure points etc. in TGM. Some stuff helped but not that.

We are communicating with our club through our hands. Listen to them carefully. They keep trying to tell you something.
Just as an experiment, get a lefty club and hit a few. Pay attention to your hands. The pressure points are all there.

I understand, I just have a little trouble always feeling them. I played for 22 years before I'd heard of 4 pressure points.
