I have noticed that from the overhead camera angle of good players that during release, their hands go slightly to left field, but clubhead goes to right field as it approaches the ball. How do they achieve this? Is this "orthodox"?
Left definitely goes left. Does the right hand go left before impact, Tong?
Picture the inclined plane - the hands go right on the back swing, centered at contact and left after contact. Each of the three positions the hands are on the inclined plane.
The point I'm trying to make in this thread is that the hands seems to travel on a different plane than the club!
But, the hands could be going UP the plane (and hence LEFT) while the clubhead is going DOWN the plane (and hence RIGHT).
Maybe the video angle as I do not see it here:

Just as the club has a low point, the hands have one as well.
So...
Going down their own plane, the hands reach their low point, after going down & out.
So...
After the hands reach low point, they go up and in!
Since the clubhead TRAILS the hands...the clubhead reaches ITS LOW POINT after the hands reach theirs.
So...
While the hands are already going UP & IN...the clubhead is STILL GOING down & out!

ahh...ok, I was hoping for a more exciting answer...something that The Plane doesn't accomodate for...I guess not!
