Haney project

While I am not a fan of Hank Haney I do enjoy the show for it's entertainment quality.
On the last episode I thought I heard Hank say that he changed tigers grip from the fingers of the left hand to the palm?
did anyone else see this and if so what am I missing because I have been told since diapers that was a death move.

Yes, he did say that, but without any details as to how much less in the fingers.
