I doubt it, most people don't hit their irons high enough...rarely do i ever see a student hit an iron shot too high. People need to go to a tour event and see how high they hit their iron shots, you'd be surprised.
Also, what is your clubhead speed with a 5 iron and/or driver and how far do you hit your 6 or 7 iron on average? And do you happen to know the loft? If you can get me this data i can get you an approximate range of how far it should be going
JRJ, I think if you have a moderately fast swing speed, Mizuno MP's, and hit down on the ball it's going to go VERY high. I play with the MP32's and they go really high (probably not PGA high.) Prior to the 32's I was playing MX23's and they had a lower ball flight. I was hitting my buddies X18's and X20's and they were considerably lower than the 32's. The 32's seem to be a little longer than the other clubs but it may be because I'm simply used to them. They don't seem to have as much roll as the others but that's A-OK with me. My carry with the 7i on a full swing is in the 165-170 range. Hope that helps.

Jim, I play Mizuno MP-60s but have no idea on my SS with either irons or drivers. I'm shocked on how little technology is used at my club. Thanks for trying to help me out.
Hmm...well do you have any idea how far you can carry a driver? And how far you can carry that 6 iron or 7 iron?
For instance i can carry my driver around 275 yards and i can get my 6 iron to go about 180 to 185 (i play slightly weaker lofts). There is correlation between that. I might be able to hlep you the same but i need some data.

The MP-32s do hit quite high for a blade-like iron, however that's because their CG is fairly low which helps launch the ball higher.
HOWEVER
It seems strange that you clubs with more than likely deeper/lower CGs with more offset lower than the 32s. My ASSumption is that it *could* be possible that those other irons are stronger lofted and/or you are playing them slightly further back in your stance than you are with the 32s thus making them launch a bit lower
Jim, I don't know what it is that's producing the difference. S300's shafts in the MP32's, Rifle 5.5's in the 23's, and uniflex in the Callaways - Maybe that has something to do with it. Maybe it has to do with the Callaway's looking weird to me at address. All the lofts haven't been altered - all the sets are straight off the shelf with exception of the 23's which were set 2* strong by the previous owner. Perhaps the others have different lofts from the factory. But club-for-club the 32's seem to end up a little further down the course than the others and its mostly carry. My step-son has TourEdge clubs (the high handicapper one's) with regular flex graphite shafts. They seem to launch and get up very high but not too much distance when I hit with them. I feel as if I'm playing the ball in the same place in my stance with each club but maybe I am not? Not that big of deal as I'm happy with all aspects the MP32's. Just though it was strange about the height and distance differences.
