Happy New Year Folks!
Oh, yeah, Happy New Decade Too!!
Twenty Ten will be an exciting year for many reasons, but most especially because I have added a TrackMan to my teaching toolbox.
As most of you know, Manzella Academy Instructors Chris Hamburger in Louisville, and Kevin Shields in Pittsburgh have had a TrackMan now for a while and I have spent quite a bit of time teaching and researching on their machines, as well as other pros who have them as well.
But now I have one of my own.
It is the single biggest advance in Golf Instruction EVER!
A total B.S. ender, and complete time saver.
It makes the lesson better for the student and the teacher.
The process of teaching with a TrackMan makes me remember a lesson I gave early last year at English Turn.
It was to a golfer who is a scratch player that I have known for 25 years. He showed up with all the complaints of a golfer who is swinging way to far inside-out.
Can't get the 3-wood in the air, hitting thin and fat irons shots, hitting push cuts and duck hooks with the driver, etc.
It took me about two shots to see the problem.
But it took dozens to seem to convince him. And to be honest, I don't think I ever did.
You see, when I tell a student they are swinging 8 degrees inside-out, it is just my opinion.
TrackMan is a argument ender.
That lesson went ok. I can get ANYONE to hit the ball better in a lesson. The real trick is getting them to BELIEVE that I am on the right track.
TrackMan is a total an complete impartial judge and jury.
It is going to speed up my constant research faster than anything has in 20 years. Which means you guys will STAY on the cutting edge.
Plus, TrackMan is portable, and will travel with me to all of my tour stops.
Now I have a great facility, at English Turn, a lineup of great Tour Stops, TrackMan, and Casio!
Like a cornerback cuting off an out route, nothing but green grass ahead of me.
Happy New Year!
