Help - 15 years of reverse pivoting

I recently stumbled accross this very enlightening forum. After years of lessons, videos, and book reading (not Homer), I still reverse pivot. When my timing is on, I can shoot in the high 70's or low 80's. When my timing is off - add 10+ strokes. I don't think I have the cranial capacity for Homer's book, but I did order Brian's videos and I am waiting their arrival. In the meantime, I was wondering if any TGM followers could help me cure this problem. Thanks in advance.

On the take away to the top, turn your left shoulder OVER your right knee -- ALL THE TIME.

Another thing that can cause reverse pivot is overloading the structure at the top, usually caused by associating power with a big turn, which it is not.

If you were to use the right forearm takeaway Homer prescribes, it may help you. One drill to get the feeling for this is as follows:

Take your address to a ball without a club in hand.

Have ball in your right hand also, assume your setup posture.

Now throw the ball at the inside aft of the ball (maintain right wrist bend)

Now note the takeaway motion, there won't be any big turn feeling, trust me it is very powerful when you get it right :)

Go to Brian's Instruction articles section and read up on his address and two pivot articles.

Some reverse pivot because they attempt to keep their head, freeze, too still.
Think Brian says to keep the base of neck, top of spine, still.
