Help me get into summer shape

Every spring I struggle to get the swing going and it follows the same pattern:

I start swaying in front of the ball and get real steep in an effort to carry my arms, when I stop swaying and 'sit down' properly, I have clubface issues due to overtorquing the left arm. Somewhere around early June, I 'figure it all out' and play to a 3the rest of the year.

My ball flight is straight to softdrawish and am prone to get underplane.

Do any of you have a similar pattern? Please help me get into summer shape in February!

Try some pitch shots to a specific target after you get your speed smoothed out. Sometimes it's easier to monitor what is going in your motion while your making partial swings and a slower speed. This type of practice helps knock the rust off my game in the spring.

There is some GREAT information on underplane issues here if you do a search. If you are underplane trying to hit a basic pitch shot with some consistency may be very difficult.
