Check out Professional clubmakers society, they have a list of clubmakers or Tom Wishon they have a list of clubmakers

sidney1,
James Leitz of Pinewood Country Club in Slidell, LA is regarded as one of the best swing-equipment fitters.:) Check him out and if you have to go out of your way it is worth the drive. Good Luck!

Careful with PCS...

Overall, it's pretty good but....there are class a certified clubmakers on that list that I've had bad experiences with. Do your homework when you find one. Even if they have that certification, if they are part time....maybe you better look longer.

Hi sidney, Fitting and teaching are an intergrated process. If the fitter has no idea about basic technique imperitives working with clubs is meerly selling not fitting. The fitter must be able to read lie marks and relate them back to ball flight and impact conditions/technique(current or intended).
A lot of good teachers understand fitting however they choose not to fit or sell as the student might feel he is being sold to and stop taking lessons(plus the profit commission%$ split is generally lousy). So fitting and teaching become seperate as doing both become a financial gamble taken by the service provider.

Just as there are bad instructors there are as many bad fitters per ratio. Watch out chances are you will get burnt.
