always looking for an easier way to explain and demonstrate dplane......does anyone know of any hologram projecting gadgets out there that could be used for this.....

i realize that this is WAY out there, but i thought maybe some building contractor device or some kids toy would have the ability to spit out a little hologram plane that could be used to explain dplane better....

i will delete this thread as soon as someone makes fun of me - be careful

Hey, I said that we could get a Taiwanese CGI expert to make us a 3D version. Its so crazy it just might work.

I think you are on the right track, Michael.

Michael,
Google "hologram projector" and there are listing for a good number of entries even some on YouTube. Maybe one of these could be of use to you. I thought the Iphone app as demo'd on YouTube was cool.

Hey Michael,
With my limited understanding of D-Plane I have nonetheless been able to help my playing partners grasp path and face variation, spin axis tilt or plane lean, re-centering of plane lean with loft or steeper angle of attack with one of the following:
Japanese Folding Fans

Low tech; great results!

Remember, there are no weird questions. Only weird people who ask questions. :smile:

Maybe a triangular bit of fabric that goes over two of those alignment sticks? You could cut the piece to be big enough to represent a LW shot and then roll it up a bit as the top of the Dplane gets lower with lower clubs. I dunno, just a thought.

I have often thought that a hologram would be a great way to teach anything! Period! Let's figure this thing out because it has merit not only with regard to the d-plane but also the golf swing.:cool:
