High Trajectory

Finally I started hitting the ball good, my biggest problem for a long time has been weight shift but I think I finally got it, anyway I am hitting the ball really solid now and I don't think I should be complaining, but its going really high, making me think I am losing some distance.

Any Drills to lower my ball flight, what causes the height? Too Steep? Left Wrist Not Flat? ( I tried with the Tac-Tic and it did not click so I assumed my left writs is flat.)

Thanks

I could be flipping but I doubt it, I was a flipper, but have really been working on the drills from the flipper video and I finnally feel like I am compressing the ball when I hit it, could you elaborate more on spine angle, would being too upright cause a higher trajectory?

If you are really compressing the ball well (you can hear your shots 'sizzle') and you are getting higher flight, that is a good thing. They tend to go together.

If you are getting 'balloons' (height that you can't control) - it is a good bet that you might need to adjust the shaft you are using. Certainly this is an area to consider. It may also be a ball issue, if you use a high spin ball.

Upright swings tend to hit a higher flight, because the steeper angle tends to create more spin.

What EdZ said. If you are killing the ball but it's going high, and you have made sure your swing is proper, look to your equipment. My cousin was once a long-drive competitor and he hit the ball so high it was scary, but man did that sucker move.

OK thanks, I was thinking it's possibly the shaft, but I am rather tall and stand pretty upright, so I guess I should be happy that I am finally hitting the ball better. This forum is great, I don't usually post much but read alot and have bought most of Brians videos, have not gotton the new one yet.
