Hand location depends a lot on what plane you end up on the downswing. Elbow planers will be fairly close to where they setup and those coming down the turned shoulder plane will be higher.

Just BTW, what makes someone swing down on TSP vs. swing down (return) to EP ? Is it only a matter of smaller/bigger lower body CoG shift ? Or maybe setup/ball position ?

Cheers

I would argue that no one really knows. I have never seen a really satisfying answer to this particular question. At one point i liked Tom Bartlett's possible answer which was based on how much you use your right side power (for a righty) you might "tend" to come down the TSP and if you use more of a free-wheeling pulling approach you might end up more on the elbow plane.

However which the multitude of people who use a lot of right arm power and still end up on the elbow plane i'm not convinced. To be honest, i don't think anyone will ever come up with a definitive answer on the subject.

Even Mr. Kelley himself said that the people who end up using elbow plane did it naturally and no one should try and force themselves on it. So even him had no real answer.
