Hip turn question

Do I turn hips with my shoulders together during the backswing or shoulder first then hips?

Here is the video.
I always feel like there is something wrong with my hip turn it's very unnatural:eek:

is it foot work...or what's going on here?

Can't see video at work but you can do it either way:

Hips can lead the shoulders

or

The shoulders can lead the hips

-------

Try both and see which works better for your pattern

Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like on the backswing your hips are going

toward the target? I don't know if this is a good thing or not. I think bad.

Maybe that's why it feels weird.

YOUR HANDS ARE STILL POPPING OUT!!!!!!!'

Your hips and shoulders can turn simultaneously, but I prefer either them GETTING pulled, or doing the pulling.

Widen your stance a bit, and GET ON TEHAT RIGHT HIP SOCKET!!!

Lagging Club Takeaway

A lagging club takeaway will help you understand the sequence you desire and in addition, provide the clubhead lag needed to create a powerful forward swing without a tug to the out prior to the down.

P.S.

This will allow you to load the trail hip and place weight into the trail heel which will enable you to re-align the hips downswing, place weight into the left hip and heel, pivot forward swing and avoid the dreaded out move before the down. Your out move is created by the misplacement of weight on your trail hip.

Brian,

Whenever i initiate my downswing w my hip the ball usually fades, i do not understand why, and alot of times if i don't turn them simultaneously I feel like the club gets stuck behind. I don't know if this is relevant, but i feel like I'm kicking to the ball alil bit on the downswing and I tried really hard to get my right knee close to my right knee.

I think I'm hitting pretty good right now maybe the best in my life.
I hit my 3w about 250-260 which is the furthest I have ever hit. the only problem is that I think too much when I swing.

I always shoot around +1, par or under front 9. Then shoot 8-10 on back 9:mad: It's funny, but I don't get mad anymore just try to enjoy the game as much as possible, and promoting Brian Manzella school. So far everybody I know is either buying your video or checking out your youtube. It' such a great honor to have you in our lives.

cheers,

Jeff

Both of these issues may be related to the popout Brian was talking about.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I believe what Brian is saying is the weight is going forward to the left hip during the backswing instead of the right hip socket. Is my thinking right about this?
