Hips and Pivot

Here's where I demonstrate my breathtaking ignorance.....

Somewhere someone posted that the pivot pauses momentarily in the stroke. ( I believe Brian mentioned "slow eyes" if you cannot see this event.) How do you reconcile the likes of Woods and other long ball hitters/swingers. Their hips don't seem to slow at all. In fact, their hips spin radically?

Are my eyes just that bad?
