hitting fat with axis tilt

I just started practicing the axis tilt on my downswing and cannot stop hitting the ball fat. I think that I am starting the tilt at the beginning of my downswing. Should I instead begin the swing with my arms dropping and then tilting once the club is about waist-high? Any help is greatly appreciated

I have the same probelm. I set up without axis tilt, then add it when I begin the downswing. I'm trying now to set up with axis tilt and try to maintain it rather than adding it late.

Make sure you are not over tilting or hanging back and make sure that you aren't flipping. Get those hands out in front of the ball.
