Hitting fat

Today while practicing tracing the straight plane line, I hit a lot of fat shots. I am sure I had a flat or even arched left wrist at impact.
Could this be lack of access tilt?

Leek, I tend to think, provided you have sufficient delay, a good combination of axis tilt and rotation have more to do with the swing's bottom than an arched left wrist. So I think you're on the right track.

When you say "rotation", are you referring to "pivot"? If not, can you explain the difference?

Thanks,

Well, pivot is a word that covers the entire move back and forth, including the lateral and rotation, also tilts. What i meant was, if he was hitting it fat, and was confident that his left wrist was flat, the issue wasn't throwaway as much as the right shoulder going down(axis tilt) AND forward(rotation), which also helps send the club down and forward to low point(past the ball).
I was tired and tried to get away with a short reply, sorry

Leek,

One thing rears its ugly head whenever i start hitting it fat.
It is lack of completion..
By that i mean that the pivot is not completing..
If I practice a few "walk thros" or right shoulder under AND "UPs", it goes away...:)

I get a bit confused by the feel of the shoulders. I sometimes feel as if my shoulders need to feel a lot of "down" on the downswing and the plane feels very upright or verticle. I know Brian has shown me this over and over, but I'm a bit slow :)

Leek I know were your coming from. When the teacher is with you it happens. Your alone now and it slowing goes away then you panic and revert back to were you where. Since my lessons I concitrated so much on the pivot and axsis tilt I went crazy and forgot to use my hands and arms. I dropped from a 13 to an 18 and every day I`m trying to get it back. In my opinion you need more than one lesson it takes alot more....joe
