Hitting it thin and on the toe

On of the core concepts of the Never Hook Again pattern, is getting your left shoulder and left hip away from the ball at impact, as they both "stay ahead" of the hands to the follow-through.

This has a few effects:

1. The club closes less and later

2. The distance from the left arm and the ball is increased making for less #3 accumulator angle and a FLATTER LIE reading.

3. The effective radius is increase and you REACH is lessened.

So, the clubs may now be a hair flat, and you may have to get closer to the ball.

But!!!

Often, what happends, is that the PIVOT BRAKE happens so much later, that the THROW is less "thrown." What I mean by that is that you can over do the ideas to the point that the SWITCH between the LEFT ARM being across the chest, and the RIGHT arm being across the chest, happens too late.

I will try to post some drills on the above.

(and Marcus, I will be in Louisiana later this week).

Thats me!

Since my lesson with Jim, I'm hitting the ball straight as a string, but a little thin and towards the toe.

I'm all ready hitting the ball 15 yards longer with my irons than before my lesson. So, what will happen when I really hit the sweetspot :) ?

Such a problem to have, though.

Looking for ward to the drills.
