Can you guys talk (again) about an easy way to hit a fade.

Hue, I know you mentioned you discovered a "new" method......

rbaumgolf: I have not forgoten the tape but have been a bit lazy as it is in a big pile of tapes and is not marked with a sticker as it fell off. I will find it though and make a copy. The Leadbetter way is to set up with your feet pointing where you want the ball to start you point the club where you want the ball to end up THEN grip the club. The problem I have with this method is that the club feels out of balance and coupled with the fact that my natural shot is a draw I do not feel confident straight away. The results were very poor for me trying to hit a fade this way . So poor that I would be better off hitting a draw even if the shot demanded a fade. If you read the post on Bunker Play Brian describes his method of playing of playing them. This is where I asked him the question on how to play the fade. You take your NORMAL grip so straight away the club is in balance and you feel better. You then ROLL your arms right to open the face of the club ,then open your stance accordingly and swing along your stance hands leading the club. Brian says you play the draw the same kind of way by rolling the arms left. I found the results were instant and felt comfortable with it right away as the club feels in balance and does not feel too different to my normal swing I and can hit good shots with his method . With luck Brian will add to this and may talk about ball position as well. The funny thing about doing a fade Brian's way is that straight away I know I am going to hit a fade I can feel it. With my old method I hit all types of shots and never knew what was going to happen.

set up to the ball normally and then play the ball a little forward maybe an inch and 1/2 and then open your stance a little for a draw do the reverse back alittle and then close stance

The best way is to learn to angled hinge and single shift on the downswing on the turned shoulder plane.

For those who don't know what all this means....aim TWICE as far left as you want the ball to start...keep the clubface open through impact....make sure you unwind and keep the HIPS AHEAD OF THE HANDS AND THE HANDS AHEAD OF THE OPEN CLUBFACE.

Brian: Do YOU do anything with regard to changing the ball position when setting up to hit a fade as bantamben1 suggests? Thanks. Did you get my email?

Brian, Are you talking about hitting a fade, or a sweeping left to right (slice)?
