Hitting thin ugly cuts with full wedges

Help please,
Played a few times last week- hitting my irons and woods great...however, each round I hit two to three full wedge shots (56 and 60deg) that were thin, cut shoots that flew over the green-half sculls basically. Any suggestions? am I getting two steep? how shallow should a wedge be on approach to impact? or is it some other issue entirely?
thanks,

I can only tell you when I do that, it's usually early in the round. The root cause for me is simply swinging too hard. Arms too fast. Had one last round.
2 nd hole, 9 iron to a 140 yard pin. Thinned it badly, flew the green and went down a back out of bounds. What a way to start!

Either too much across and down or a flip.

Or a bit of both.

Often this stems form a setup problem - too open with the ball too far back in your stance.

Try to set up very square with the ball much farther forward in your stance, then stay behind it and maintain your FLW.
