Hitting up on driver

I don't know if I am dreaming or not but I remember a video where Brian showed how to hit up on the driver...is there one? I just got a new driver and Trackman had my attack angle at -2 to 0 degrees, but mostly hovering around -2 or -1. Smash factor ~1.47-1.48 with a ball speed of ~140-145. Normalized figures sound too good for me to not want to figure out how to get a higher attack angle.

Brain's Essential D-Plane you tube video which is on the home page here explains hitting up on the driver starting at about minute 24. A good reference to the swing statistics and resultant data is here Ball Flight Laws . The link does not show up , try perfectgolfswingreview.net under ball flight laws

I thought he had a video demonstrating the proper way to get the up hit on the driver (how your shoulders should move, etc basically how your pivot should change a bit) without sending it way right. Was that on the d-plane video?

yes it was. thanks. i'd delete this but I wanna see if anyone has anything to say about the trackman numbers.

Nothing to say about the specifics. I have gone through a Driver Fitting on Trackman. Actually ended up with a 9 degree G15 with the I15 shaft. I hit it great during the fitting. I had them order the club, but never could consistently duplicate the fitting day performance. The 9 degree head was because, as the fitter said, the G15 is a high launch head. I have moved on to a different Driver.

Hitting up. Not so easy to do, at least for me. You also, I think, have to recognize that while a 10.5 head was correct for hitting down to hitting level, it may not be correct for hitting up. I would think that lower loft would work better for hitting up. And finally, there is the matter of shaft lean. Brian has said that he uses plenty of forward shaft lean when hitting up on the driver. This is another challenging skill in a Driver swing.

I thought the normalized values indicate what the ideal hit for my swing speed (mid high 90s) would create. If I create an ideal attack angle and nice center contact, I should get around 250 total, yea? As it stands right now, when I really hit down on it I get a weak balloon with no roll. Usually gets me about 220-230, sometimes less. The best I could do and make good contact at the fitting was a 0.0 AoA. He told me not to really try so hard to hit up that it would make me swing all screwed up.

So you're trying to tell me if I correctly hit up on the driver (no flips) that I would not get a less spinny and stronger ball flight? It would launch too high and plop down as if it were a spinner?
