brian about your quote "Use your Pivot to snap your Kinetic Chain, and to assist your arms, hands and club with creating the proper "D" Plane for the selected shot.

Everything else is show biz"

if i understood your D plane explantion from last night, it doesn't take into account the clubface position, but only the true path. so don't you need some reference to clubface in that quote?

It does though. Where the clubface is pointing (imagine a rod coming out of the face of the club, as Brian explained) is one of the 3 points of the plane, the other two being the ball and the true path of the clubhead.

The Count

This video is of Count Yogi the self proclaimed greatest golfer in the world. His real name was Hilary Frankenberg from Chicago. the video is circa 1970's.

Brian, I have read two of Count Yogis books. Have you read his teachings on the swing? I would be interested in your opinion.

count yogi

I understand count yogi taught hitting up on the ball. somehow he could do it. I guess there is always someone who does not follow the norm?

I was just reading that website you posted FanofSnead

and it seems Yogi taught everyone mid body hands.

"He is the mysterious Count Yogi. Banned from golf by the PGA of America - as much for his strident views as his non-Caucasian heritage - he did barnstorming exhibitions and taught the game, exhorting his pupils to set up with their hands well back and left elbow bent, to pick every shot cleanly, and above all to play the game with grace and elegance."
