Been a while since hitting balls and i went out last night because it was semi warm. I had a problem i haven't had in a LONG TIME.

instead of driving the right should down/out, somewhere around hip high i kept rotating my upper body hitting the back of the ball and hitting some pull/pull draws.

I got it pretty much back on track but it took more ball than i liked...what was i doing wrong? Not enough hip slide?

thanks

Too much of that too soon is my guess, Jim.

The first thing to go....

The ability to S T R E T C H your left side through impact (axis tilt).

Practice with a towel swing at home with that as the main thought.

LOL...i kinda figured out what happened as i was at the range tonight finishing the rest of my balls (it is an automated range)

It was an alignment/illusion issue.

the mat was facing left however but because of the station i was at (2nd floor) the floor was at a slight curve so what i thought was facing at the target i wasn't. The mat was facing about 25 yards left of where i "thoughti" it was aiming. So what was i doing?

Setting up WAAAAAAY OPEN and hitting a lot of pulls, pull draws, and pull fades.

So i did my best to disregard this "illusion" this time and aimed at the complete opposite side of the range and hit balls. All pretty much went dead straight.

ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ALIGNMENT TO THE TARGET!
