How do I stop getting the handle so far ahead of the ball at impact?

As I have been working on maintaining a bent right wrist and a flat left wrist through impact, I have been having trouble getting my driver in the air.

When I fh20 myself, I can see plenty of axis tilt but I can pivot well enough to get the handle too far ahead of the ball and I end up with very little loft left.

What should I do to get the club to straighten out sooner?

Hit it more on the upswing with a driver

More forward ball position and more closed stance, out to the right with the feet for a right handed golfer should promote straightening the club out at impact.

His problem lies in playing the ball too far back already.

A more closed stance, as you suggest, has the effect of moving the ball back, up plane, which would tend to negate your advice to move it forward.
