How do you grip the putter?

I was wondering what is the best way to grip the putter. I watched a couple of videos on the SeeMore site and the grip the instructor described included getting the heel pad on top, similar to what Brian teaches. Most everyone else teaches more of a palm grip.

What would produce the most consistent results?

I would recommend the "thumb pad" (as opposed to the "heel pad") being on top of the putter...I never had a class on hand anatomy so I'm not sure if "thumb pad" is a correct term...

Right hand "thumb pad" is on top of the grip, also...if that helps...

More of a "palm grip"...

putter grip

Mike Shannon, tour short game guru, says to get the putter either in line with the forearms or parallel to forearms from down the line view. He says palms for most, but some are flexible enough to accomodate heel pad and parallel shaft and forearms.

Palms opposing, thumbs on top of the shaft is generally a great way to grip the putter. A lot of tour players use the reverse overlap. Just copy Tiger, you can't go wrong doing that.
