How do you hold your form..till the last few holes?

recently I have been playing well, but the last 3-4 holes I keep missing drive, putting and chips....

I don't feel tired at the last few holes, just frustrated that the last few holes always gives me bogey and doubles.

any remedy for this?

One likely culprit may be mental tension. If you are one of those players that adds up his score and then calculates that if you only par out, then you shoot say 72 it creates pressure to perform. The pressure changes your swing. This challenge is the fun of the game.

I think a good, repeatable pre-shot routine helps. Sometimes I get too excited about the possibilities or too nervous about blowing it and I forget about the pre-shot routine. I think it should be about the same from the tee shot on the 1st hole to the last swing on the 18th hole.

sucks. Kinda mad at myself actually, could have shot a really good score but blew it at the end.

Didn't even wanna putt on the last hole

I dunno if it had anything to do with my new driver......

How's this for a thought virus:

The more you worry about it, the more you will play poor over the last few holes.

Earlier I posted my thoughts. Played our regular tournament yesterday. Started on 18 with a topped drive that lead to a double. Then played the front nine in 1 under with two birdies. The next 8 holes were simply awful and it wasn't because that side is particularly more difficult. 49, comprised of a triple and multiple doubles with a par on the last hole.

So it was either mental tension, or that I got tired ( Hit a bunch of practice balls Wednesday afternoon ). I am more often fairly even front nine versus back nine so this might have simply been that 1 under is out of my comfort zone.

The same reason that its difficult to take a swing change from the range to the course is the same reason most players can't finish off rounds. They are not mentally tough enough and haven't put in the reps. Staying in the present takes practice. Most players start worrying about "what happens if..." or "I can't believe I just did that...".

Golf is a very very difficult game as the margin for error is so small. It just takes a bit of tension or pressure to change your ryhthm or tempo and that's enough to hit it OOB.Just gotta focus on rythym and tempo and good balance. Then at least you know you have done all you can and then just accept the results. It's a bit like putting.Pick a line, make the best stroke you can and accept the outcome. You can't make all of them.

There's a tendency to blame nerves, or at least poor mindset, when you finish badly.

When a pro finishes badly, he's probably missing shots that he could make at least 9 times out of 10 under normal circumstances.

Before I blame nerves for a missed shot, I try to be honest about whether I really own the shot. A lot of the time, a bad finish to a good round is just the law of averages asserting itself. So is a good finish to a bad round, although people tend not to complain so much about those.

There's guys who get outs in the 6th inning and those who get em in the 9th. Look in the mirror and change your outlook and commit to finishing off rounds

Why did you continue to hit the driver? Why not a couple 3 woods and middle of the greens to get the score in the house?

C'mon, man!!

I can't believe changing the weights didn't work! The commercial all but guarantees that's the solution to great golf.
