How to have a proper grip?

Was wondering if anyone has insights on this. I have most of Brian's videos and theres one where he shows how to make a proper grip. He holds the club out with his left hand so that the left arm fw is parallel to the ground. The neutral left hand grip is to place the grip of the club in the hands so that the leading edge is also parallel to the ground.

I was wondering if this can be used to set the proper right hand grip. I noticed that I have a tough time bending my right wrist back comfortably at the top of my back swing (hence I cross the line easily). What if I also cock my left wrist (as if it were at the top of the backswing) and then put my right hand on the grip (right wrist fully bent at this point) so that the two hands and wrists mimic the top of the backswing? Any downsides to this? I noticed that my right hand grip becomes a little stronger than my usual grip but I feel more solid at the top of the backswing.
