i'm trying to lower my driver spin rate from over 4000 on average. ss is 103'ish and ball speed around 148-150. been told my angle of attack may be the reason. on the vector monitor my aoa is around 5-7 degrees. any suggestions on lowering it? i've tried movign the ball up in stance and even stand a bit further away but the same resulsts. i get this with many diff. shafts, etc..

Be sure your shoulder plane is more vertical on the downswing then the backswing....an artifact of ALL good golf swings. The key is a lateral shift of the lower lead hip followed by a turn and the correct "fall" of the club at the transition. If you are OOT, think swing inside out, hitting the ball at the 4:00 position. The shallowing of the club is best obtained through the correct body motions coupled with relaxed arms/hands at the top. Resist the turning back with the upper body at the top....give the hands/arms/club time to drop in the slot before the attack mode. Must keep the rear shoulder quiet until the bottom. The 1st move of the club/hands at the top is away from the target.HTH

powerfade: in effect, have the lead hip move a bit laterally while keeping the top of spine(base of neck) centered and still? also, by more vertical, is this by having the lead shoulder going up and backwards away from the ball? if so, i'm grasping what you are saying. thanks

So you have a 0* face angle verified by the monitor?

Only reason i ask is obscene spin numbers off a monitor are usually a clubface issue/shaft issue/setup issue.

Trying to figure out which one you are
