HSP Question - Overhead Camera Angle

Was hitting some shots on Trackman today and was looking at the overhead club trajectory view. If I wanted to set a camera overhead to see the Horizontal Swing Plane:
1. Would I be able to see this with a Casio Camcorder? A Higher frames per second I would assume
2. What height would the camera need to be above the ball?
3. Will I be able to see this on video?

Nope.

You would be able to slow it down and see the Horizontal PATH through the ball, but wouldn't be able to assume the HSP unless you had some indicator of the Angle of Attack into the ball, which I guess you could see from a coordinated Face On view...

If trying to recreate the trackman way of measuring those values you would place to place the camera DTL and then measure the position of the clubhead at a certain high before and after impact, together with the head position at impact. Those three points will give you both swingplane (vsp) and swing direction (hsp).

To analyze the horizontal direction of the swing plane through the impact zone using video, position the camera literally "on" an extension of a plane which shares the vertical angle of the actual impact plane of the swing, AND which parallels the Target Line. The plane board proves that this swing is on that plane. The drawn line on the screen combines as one with the plane board. When the plane board is removed, the line can be used to determine whether the swing is on, in-to-out, or out-to-in of a plane which parallels the Target Line.
