I want to get a game but none of my friends play

i've been going up the driving range for the past couple of months and am keen to get out on one of the local pay and plays to get a few rounds in.

problem is none of my mates play golf - on one hand I'd probably go up and play on my own, on the other hand I think i'd feel a prat going round on my own.

any suggestions? i'm keen to play at least every other week if poss.

If your goal is to simply to play, go ahead and play by yourself. You can go at your own pace, and it affords you the time to "work on stuff". Besides, if you're paired with somebody else, you may end up meeting up with someone to play with. Nothing wrong with going solo if you have to; don't let it keep you from getting out. I did that last year, and regretted it.

Ya man I like to go out by myself quite a bit. Let's you just be alone with your thoughts and tinker a bit without distraction. Good to have a regular group of buddies to go with too tho for a good time.

None of your buddies would want to take up golf?
