I wonder if the true center is a little bit reverse pivot?

If you do the back and forth drills you have to be really swinging within your true center....how do you know when you have a reverse pivot when you stay really centered?

True center? ... If you mean the apparent point of rotation at the shoulders, then the center shifts with the weight shift.

On the backswing the rotation center is to the rear (right?) of the sternum .. and on the downswing, after you've established your lead (left?) foot and you are clearing your hips, the rotative center is on the lead (left?) side of the sternum.

This happens because your body mass is rotating either around your rear or lead leg, so the body mass distributes itself to either the rear or lead side causing the shift in rotative center. It's all discussed in SPS in more detail.
