I'd like to see if 3-D analysis show if good players actually swing on a true geometric plane.

By that I mean a "flat" plane - I'm not talking about flat vs. upright - I'm talking about flat vs. curved - as in a true plane vs. perhaps a "curved" plane or surface.

From the top to the ball, "curved" or warped gets my vote

I think the "sweetspot travel" plane after the sweetspot gets lower than the hands would be interesting to see....

It would be cool to see a laser coming out of the sole (under where the sweetspot is) and then Casio-ing the down the line view.

Maybe you could tape a laser light to the back of the clubhead pointing to the ground then take a video or time lapse still of someone hitting a ball DTL at night, in the dark.

...

the hands...

how fast they're going (or slow)

if they're moving down or up

etc...

Mike,

I saw a very detailed research paper on this about 5 years ago, can't for the life of me remember where......

It had detailed speed and percentage (od complimenting clubhead speed) all the way through the swing for hips, arms, hands, shoulders, clubhead, etc......should've saved it somewhere....

It's probably still out there somewhere if you can happen on the right search phrase...

Not yet...

Only thing holding us up is the local County, waiting for them to give us the permit to build.

Everything else is ready to go.

It will be great to 'see' how the body works from every conceivable angle while we get LM numbers, different ball flights, patterns, etc.

Very exciting time for all of the Manzella team, and by next fall we should have a lot of fun stuff for another GTE program and summit.

Awesome. This is the most exciting thing I've ever seen on this site. Is it too early to ask how much a session would cost for a Manzella Forum member?
