... how would you use them to optimize your ballstriking?
What swing pattern do you think is best suited for a player with long arms?
How can that wider arc be leveraged to the max?
While riding this "golf swing carousel of hell" (love that line from Lindsey), I have often felt that my long arms should be advantageous, not detrimental, to developing a consistent swing pattern. But, more often than not, they seem to "enhance" getting too flat, underplane, inside out, ... ad nauseum.
By long I mean that I am 6'1" yet clubfitting measurements put me at -1/2 to -1 inch shorter than standard club lengths. Somewhere in my mountain of golf books, I have the LAWS book, which classified me as an "arc" player. I loosely followed some of its advice during this never-ending carousel ride, but never felt it provided the definitive answers.
I'm hoping the government will commission a study on this. But, while I'm waiting on that to happen, I thought I'd pose the question to the academy and forum.
