Impact fix Putting? Ben Doyle.

Watching a Ben Doyle tape of him instructing a student and at one point(audio was not very good) they started talking about putting. If I heard correctly Ben was saying he set his hands forward(impact) and just made a putting stroke from there?

Any merit to this or am I making something out of something I thought I heard.
