Could somebody explain this to me?

thanks

Inside to Out? The clubhead travels from the inside to the outside in either an angle approach, which is hitting. Or an arch approach, which is swinging. The important thing is that the club hits the inside back "quad" of the ball.
Lets say you are in a batters box and a round clock is on a tee on home plate. 9'clock faces the pitcher and 3'clock the catcher. You want to hit the clock (ball) at around 4'clock and drive it thru 10'clock with the clubhead going out to right field.
Where does the ball go? Straight hopefully, if everything else is in alignment. As the right arms pushes the clubhead to right field, the pivot is moving the clubface down the targetline. The important thing is to hit the ball from the inside heading outside. Ben Doyle says (at address), "eye on the inside quad of the ball." Looking there is a way important.

The clubhead is on plane, but the head hits the inside of the ball traveling down and out, striking it before low point. This is different than an "inside to out" PATH, in which the path of the clubhead on the downswing is cross-line to the target line.

The golf Swing is on an inclined plane. If you could step behind a plane board with your 5 iron it would be clear.
