Brian,
Congrats! I looks like the "real deal", I'm not exactly sure what an angled hinge is. My understanding is that there were two types of putting strokes, an arc or straight back straight through (SBST). The Sheriff doesn't look like it has an arc to it, but I can't tell for sure. Which is it, arc or sbst? Also, what is it made out of?

Thanks,
p

Brian - nice video!

pm4610 - in the video, Brian is using TGM language to describe the two types of stroke you refer to. Vertical hinging = SBST. Angled hinging = shaft on plane, face opens and closes to target line. The sherriff is designed precisely to keep the shaft on plane and teach an angled hinging stroke (which means the path will be an 'arc').

A straight-back-straight through stroke, with a square face throughout, is a VERTICAL ONLY Hinge action.

Any "on an inclined plane stroke" (in the VERTICAL ONLY one above, the putter is NOT on an inclined plane), has an ARC to it.

So the SHERIFF teaches an ARC-type stroke, just one precisely to the plane of your choice, whereas most arc devices, are only a 2-dimensional representation of A SINGLE inclined plane.

DUAL VERTICAL hinge action is a face that stays square to the target while the putter makes and on-plane stroke.

DUAL HORIZONTAL hinge action is a face that says vertical to the ground, while the putter/club is making an op-plane stroke.

ANGLED hinge action is the face staying vertical to the plane, or "square to the arc." while the club is on the inclined plane.

The Sheriff teaches an on-plane (arc) stroke, with ANGLED hinge action.

So whats the deal with the sherrif... at the end of the video you said it was available for a short time. Whats the price and how can i get one????

just a quick thought as i was watching that video. you talked about how he has been practicing the bowed left wrist and how it can creep into his putting stroke. are there any good putters out there how intentially use that bowed stroke with putting to maintain a similar feeling at impact?

Does The Sheriff prevent you from fanning the club face open during the backswing?

How much would it cost to ship it to Ireland?

What's it made out of...wood, plastic, pvc, etc? Is it adjustable or doesn't it need to be?

Thanks,
p

Does it keep the club face at the correct angle throughout the stroke?

It makes the clubface have PERFECT angled hinge action (clubface vertical to—or "cutting through" if you understand that better—by the design of the product.

PERFECT!

This perfect clubface for this stroke, and the fact that the resistance is even on both sides, it what separates this from ANY OTHER device.

Can a mallet style putter work with the sheriff. It looks like the mallet may not be able to "fit" into the device. If it can work with a mallet style putter, sign me up!
