Well folks....Mike Jacobs and I have started working hard on analyzing swings with his awesome new software.
For those who don't know, Mike commissioned a piece of software that can measure and compute the things we have been studying the past several years. Forces, torques, in an out of plane motion, etc.
The critics have chirped for a long time, "All that stuff sounds fine, but you can't measure it."
We can now.
We have dozens of tour swings, top ranked amateurs, and some clubs pros that have played in multiple majors. And plenty of bad golfers and decent players as well.
We looked at Jamie Sadlowski's swing (yes, we have that) last week and found several needles in a hay stack that would baffle anyone just studying video and body movements. We found some great pieces of the puzzle of Rickie Fowler's swing, and some awesome answers from some parameters that no one has ever seen before.
Concrete proof of several of our hypotheses have been found, as well as countless ways to categorize things like "handle-dragging," "going normal," and so many more things I am not at liberty to say at this time.
We will have a lot of bombshells by the fall, but for fun, we plan to drop a couple new nuggets starting in a week or so.
