Cricket player, I worked with someone (good player) that had bent left elbow, bowed wrist, also a cricket background. That's my guess anyway.

They both go down on it pretty hard. Im pretty sure Zick said this is another way, like throwing the drunk off your back, to jump out of the ground. Ball doesnt know as Brian would say. Olazabal and Goosen do the same.

Bent Left Arm at Impact

If the left shoulder is "too close" to the hands at impact, you'll get a bent left arm, or one of those fat Tiger shots.

But, if you raise the hands up late, by way of bending the left arm, you SPEED UP the club!

I was thinking while watching Westwood this weekend that video of his swing should be the set answer to the common question around here about "throwing the drunk off your back." There are no drunks at that man's back.
 
creating room, no? If you do DOWN that much into impact you need either a LOT of lag or you must create the room by shortening the radius it seems to me?
