I almost bought this book on ebay a few months back. Doesn't Norwood teach a hitters stroke?

its a great book, the picture on the cover - Homer was seen doing a lot of with his right forefinger on the back of the shaft (grip)

One of my all-time favorites...Did you ever read the back cover and it's testimonials?...there's a "surprise" nugget from one of the student's who is a former player on the PGA Tour and claims to be guru of tour players....refers to Joe Norwood as "Master"....Who is this anonymous "subserviant"?

Haven't seen the book, but didn't Mac O work with Norwood???
As a side note saw something where his son is putting the paperback version of this book back out in the market, there was a craigslist ad and a Las Vegas phone #. $12.00 plus $3.95 S/h. I've not been game enough to call myself (I'm weird I'm sorry) , but if anybody does, and its legit and they decide to order 1 let me know and I'll paypal you the money and you can order 2. Thx
Thought it was published in 1978 whereas TGM came out a bit earlier...
If someone has the book...please read the back cover and post the testimonial...it's VERY interesting!!!! The memorial Library in Pinehurst has a copy...I used to check it out when I lived in downtown Pinehurst, NC for 2 years...

There must be different versions, my book is a hardcover with no testimonials on the back
Paperback version...I believe... was in the Pinehurst Library that sported a testimonial of one "Mac O'Grady" ...love to hear the quote...verbatum....

Yes, I believe he says that in the book. And it's exacly what you'd expect it to mean.
For some reason, when I follow his golf-ball-in-right-fingers drill, I end up with a right hand that shows two knuckles (too weak). Anybody else find this?

Hg, I haven't read it in about 7 years, I don't remember what the content in the book was other than it was a cool book.... I 'll thumb through it later and if there is anything about that subject

Yes Hg, He does say that! Calls it - "golfer is better swinging under the hips than around the hips"

I stopped at the Given Memorial Library in Pinehurst and they do not have the book.
