A recent clip containing several JD swings (be patient the swing clips start about 30 seconds into the video). The first clip you can just sense the amazing amount of lag he creates. He finished top 5 in driving distance this year which is amazing considering his physical conditioning.

Just as he starts his swing with a forward press he seems to take his right thumb off the club. Is this to heighten the sense of P3?

The one time I saw JD was at the BMW a few years ago. His warm up at the range was to hit balls various distances and to exact targets with his right hand off the club. It was phenomenal to watch him hit different spin shots to a green about 60yards away using his left hand only. I don't know what he uses his right hand for except maybe balance?
