That is exactly what my (former) instructor told me as I was becoming a decent junior player when I was 14 years old, except he called it "down-cocking". i.e. "I would NEVER teach down-cocking to anyone."

Years later I found out he was, in fact, coo-coo for coco puffs.

But man, his lesson tee to this day is still full because he takes such an interest in his students.

Good swing -saw it myself. My friend and I made TV when Gore's tee shot landed directly in front of us on #17 on Sunday in the ruff. Nailed his second shot and landed close to the pin.
