Just watching the Sony Open on TGC right now. The leader, Johnson Wagner's pre-shot routine on the 16th tee was EXACTLY the same one Kevin Shields posted about Alexander Noren a few weeks back. If you have a chance, check it out. He's still got 17 and 18 to play.
Great stuff...

Apparently that was his third win. Never even heard of the guy. Good porn star name though! And he has the tash to match :)

Yes its quite interesting. He seems to be a classic example of what the chaps were talking about, viz a viz slack at the top and tautness on the way down. And that release drill really has me rapt...Moustache is a little dubious though, i agree...
There was a great camera angle of him hitting into the par 3 17th yesterday

Excatley what is the motion he is trying to accomplish in his pre swing(describe it). It looks all right side or not....

Not an instructor, but from everything I have read on this forum I would say "NOT".

This move is in an attempt to "OUT Toss" and not Tug or Pull.

Anybody do I have this right!

Jeremy, I agree with you. I like Wagners swing.

His swing speed according to trackman is above 110 IIRC, so that tells me he maybe hits down with the driver too much, because he really ought to be longer, but whatever he does, it works for him and I like his action.

When Johnson was finishing up at Virginia Tech, He won the Met Open 2 years in a row at Bethpage Black and Winged Foot. Beating some of the best playing Club Pro's in the country on US Open golf courses, It was obvious he was destined for the Tour.
